Caroline Wozniacki ruffles the feathers of tennis fashion
by Jennifer Sunde

Top-ranked female tennis star, Caroline Wozniacki, has premiered a brand new fashion attitude this New Year. Wozniacki has been seen sporting several looks from high-end fashion designer Stella McCartney's athletic line with apparel manufacturer, Adidas. Wozniacki caused quite a stir with ruffle-adorned tennis outfits while at the Indian Wells WTA tournament.

Wozniacki pulled a Serena Williams by opting to turn up the fashion meter on the tennis courts this season, sporting Stella McCartney's signature tennis looks again this year. During the final match at Indian Wells, Wozniacki beat out 15th-seeded Marion Bartoli of France while wearing a Persian Blue dress that evoked a sense of romanticism. A wearable look both on and off the court, Wozniacki has branched out to styles that any woman would want to wear. So it's no wonder everyone is waiting in anticipation for looks she will rock on the court at this year's Wimbledon.

Rumor has it that she will sport several Stella McCartney for Adidas looks that range from separates to minis, there will be a special appearance from the blue ruffle dress (a white version of course). It's great that there is a sense of theatricality brought to the tennis stage, no vulgarity just sweetness. Ruffle details and a great fit, makes Wozniacki a great fashion icon for tennis. Not as flashy as one of the Williams sisters, but a little more fashion forward in the sense that less is more.

The partnership of Stella McCartney's fashion sense and Wozniacki's model like stature make the perfect marriage on the courts. Wozniacki's skill on the courts is matched by her ability to look graceful while doing so.
